Every Friday Lexie & I have our girlie day out! This week we went to see the sculpture by the sea exhibition at Cottesloe beach. We had a great day & Lexie’s pick of the sculpture is the “Yellow one with the stairs”. She thinks it belongs to ’the crocked man who live in a crocked house’.
The sculptures were very impressive but I thought last years exhibition was more dramatic. There wasn’t the variety of different medium this year, there seemed to be heaps of metal/steel . My favorite (and I think everyone’s favorite) was ‘Fossil’ created by Julia Adzuki & Mark Szulgit from Sweden.
The materials are plexiglass with a metal base. The artists have exhibited ice sculpture in Norway, England, Italy and in Sweden’s Ice hotel.
